Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. A part of the Democratic Party, she previously served in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009); the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011); the spokesperson of the United States Department of State (2013-2015) and as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki contributed to CNN's politics coverage from 2017 until 2020. Psaki began her career in 2001 as an influential political contributor to CNN. She worked on the elections for the re-elections of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was later appointed the press secretary's deputy in John Kerry's 2004 presidential race. Psaki served from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. 20 Psaki was fired as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State on February 11 2013. She was hired at the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21However, Josh Earnest took his spot on May 30, 2014. In the year 2015, she returned to the White House as communications director and stayed through the end of the Obama administration.
